History

Ginny Ring Cottage at Tan Yr Allt is part of a traditional Welsh farmstead dating back to the 18th Century and is set amongst rolling hillside just off the old A5 coaching route from London to Holyhead.

The farmstead was bought by its present owners in 1998, in a completely derelict state and has been sensitively restored to retain many of the original features and character.

Tan Yr Allt has been farmed for generations and is rich in wildflowers, native trees and a wide range of bird life including: owls, buzzards, red kites, red legged partridge and pheasants. The farmstead is bounded by the “Nant Heulog” stream, which forms part of the county boundary with Conwy.

The cottage has been converted from a stone-built stable and agricultural building into a well appointed, fully equipped self contained holiday accommodation whilst still retaining its period features with an Aga wood burner stove, slate steps and cills, oak flooring and original horse gin outside.
